About Molly
Hi! My name's Molly. I'm 27 years old, and I've been tutoring for more than 6 years, with hundreds of hours of tutoring experience in essay-based subjects, 11+ practice, and university admissions prep.
I'm friendly and easy to talk to - I know how stressful and bewildering it can be to get your head around a subject syllabus and prepare for exams! I understand that sometimes the school curriculum can leave students feeling confused or uninspired, so I work out a program with every tutee, to see how we can work together to make the subject more interesting, or easier (or both!)
I have a first in English Literature from Cambridge, and a Masters degree in Sociology with distinction - so I can offer tutoring from primary-school age all the way up to university coursework, as well as university admissions help.
I primarily offer tutoring in essay-based subjects such as English Language, English Literature, History, Government & Politics, and Sociology, across a range of ages and qualification types, as well as Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning for entrance exams and the 11+. I also offer tuition in Oxbridge interview prep, general university application prep, and Personal Statement help.

Molly tutored our teenagers in English Literature and Language as well as History at GCSE and Politics and English Literature at A level. Molly's tutorials are always lively and engaging and she soon sparked a keen interest in the texts and a real ambition to do well. Molly always prepares thoroughly for each tutorial and she is positive and energetic throughout. Supportive and empathetic, Molly always goes the extra mile when short deadlines are looming. Molly's cheerful approach, broad understanding of the subject and her excellent essay-writing technique make her an outstanding tutor.
Molly tutored both my daughters in preparation for a school entrance exam when they were 13 & 11 yrs old. She worked through old exam papers thoroughly and with patience. She was clear, supportive and encouraging. Molly guided them through each stage of the exam papers and made sure the knowledge they gained was properly embedded before moving onto the next question.
