About Lauren

Have been in this field for 2 years and am enrolled in a joint honours course of psychology with counselling and psychotherapy practices at the university of Derby.
My work experience was with the early intervention of psychosis department that enabled me to better understand the topics, particularly psychopathology and schizophrenia and was able to see firsthand how these disorders affected their personal lives.

About the lesson

Teaching will include the following topics for both AS and A level psychology for the new specification however, paper 3 is purely for A level, and there is more content for all of paper 2 for A level than AS students.
Paper 1: Social Influence, Memory, Attachment and Psychopathology
Paper 2: Approaches, Biopsychology and the dreaded Research Methods
Paper 3: Issues and debates, Relationships, Schizophrenia and Aggression.

Teaching can occur through Facetime or any other video service or through face to face if it is preferred (but only if you live within a reasonable distance!) We can go through each topic at your own pace and go back over topics you feel unsure about at any time. I can help you to develop your exam technique by going through exam papers with you so you are better able to understand what higher grade answers consist of. I can also provide you with powerpoint workbooks that you can print off and go through to help with revision. If you are unsure how to revise effectively I can give you some tips and advice on how to revise and help you find the revision technique that works best for you.
There are no set times or days for each lesson to occur but I would recommend a minimum of 2 hours per week particularly if you are new to the topic but essentially you get to decide how many hours you want. Times and days can differ each week to fit in with your schedule and you can decide how long each lesson is too. Passing is not dependent on my teaching but on how willing you are to learn and also on you frequently revising.

Payment would be through online transactions rather than cash although if you live close enough and wish to be tutored in person, then paying in cash is acceptable. For 1 hour, it will cost £11 and if you want to book multiple lessons/hours it will be based on this amount and be multiplied by how many hours you wish to do eg, 2 hours would cost £22 and 3 hours £33.
