About Basit
Hello, and welcome! I'm Basit, a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) graduate of Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University. Since 2020, I have helped students turn Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from their hardest subjects into their strongest ones.
I teach O-Level, IGCSE and A-Level students (Edexcel/Pearson and Cambridge) and all subjects for Grades 1-8. Since 2022, I have also worked as an independent tutor with Fahad Tutor Academy. Many of my students have improved their grades and gained real confidence within a few months.
My university training taught me to break complex ideas into clear, simple steps, and I bring that skill to every lesson. I begin by finding out exactly where a student is struggling. Then we set clear goals and work towards them together, with worked examples, past-paper practice and honest feedback along the way.
You can expect a tutor who is punctual, well-prepared and quick to reply. My background in client communication and scheduling means lessons start on time, your questions never go unanswered, and parents receive regular progress updates. I teach fluently in English and Urdu, so no student is left confused by a difficult concept.

My approach:
I don't just teach students what to write in the exam. I teach them *why* it works, because that is what makes marks stick. Every lesson is built around your child's level, exam board and weak spots.
How I teach:
- Find the gaps first: A quick diagnostic in lesson one means no time is wasted on what you already know.
- Simple explanations, then practice: I use real-life examples, diagrams and worked solutions on a digital whiteboard, then guide you through similar questions until you can do them alone.
- Think like an examiner: I teach past-paper technique and mark-scheme skills for Edexcel/Pearson and Cambridge.
- Clear progress: Every lesson ends with a recap and homework, and parents get honest updates.
- In English or Urdu: If a concept doesn't click in one language, I'll explain it in the other.
Lesson length:
Live one-to-one online lessons of 60 minutes (45 for younger students), with evening and weekend slots.
