About Leola
Hello, I am Lola! As a secondary school student, I bring an advantage to your child's education; because I am currently navigating the academic system myself, I have a fresh, understanding of the modern UK curriculum and exam standards. This allows me to connect with younger learners as a relatable peer rather than an un-relatable authoritative figure.
To ensure peace of mind and security for families, I approach every session with the utmost professionalism and feedback. I use structured, pre-planned lesson templates, maintain strict punctuality, and keep clear progress logs to track development.
Communication and transparency are vital to my practice; therefore, I provide a brief feedback update to parents after every single lesson (once a week), outlining what we achieved and the goals for our next session. My primary goal is to transform maths from boring to fun! By creating a safe, encouraging online environment, I ensure students feel brave enough to make mistakes, ask questions, and unlock their full academic potential.

My Approach to Online Tutoring. Hi, I'm Lola! I provide engaging, stress-free Mathematics lessons that help primary students truly enjoy learning.
My Methods: I use a highly visual, step-by-step approach. Instead of boring lectures, I use colourful posters, interactive maths games, and real-life examples (like dividing a pizza to teach fractions!). I focus heavily on praise and patience to allow your child to develop.
️ Lesson Length: My sessions are 45 to 60 minutes long once a week (no Tuesdays). For younger learners (yr 3-Yr4), I highly recommend 45 minutes to keep their energy, focus, and concentration at their maximum.
Experience: As a successful secondary school student, having mastered the exact curriculum your child is learning, I already understand the modern methods taught in schools today and know exactly how to simplify tricky topics like BIDMAS or long division for younger minds!
Who the Lessons Are For: These online sessions are strictly designed for primary school children in years 3-6 (Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2). Whether your child is just starting with times tables or preparing for high school, the pacing is fully customised to them! MY lessons prepare them for my next step in their education (including SATs)
