About Wan

Good day! Introduction of Tutor Wan Qi: Wan Qi, a piano student who has learned piano for 14 years and is still active! She has completed the ABRSM grade 8 examination and achieved distinction results. Now, she is preparing for the Diploma LTCL program based on Trinity and has passed the ATCL Diploma examination with flying colors in the year 2021. Also, she has passed the Grade 5 ABRSM theory examination with distinction and is still working on Grade 8 ABRSM music theory. Besides maintaining records of well-scored results in several music-related examinations, Wan Qi also picked up ounces of experience by performing in front of an audience at Gamuda Walk. Participating in a virtual piano competition organized by Persatuan Chopin Malaysia in 2020 proves the eligibility of Wan Qi, who would be a brilliant piano tutor. Effective communication plays a crucial role when it comes to tutor advising improvements to be made by piano players. One of the biggest advantages of learning with Wan Qi is that she managed to ace all 3 main languages with at least an A- for tests brought up to her in O-levels. Hence, classes can be conducted using English, Bahasa Melayu, and 中文. Based on the aforementioned details, I would like to give out my tiny knowledge of piano playing to people who need it out there so that everyone has a chance to learn music! (and yes, even during a pandemic with online classes!)

About the lesson

My method of teaching is according to the grades or levels of each student, making improvements by leading them to have an in-depth understanding of the piece they are working on. It could be the rhythm, phrasing, musical sense and touch, or even the music era.
