About Adrian
I studied Engineering at Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge, graduating in 1991. Before moving to Brazil in 2000, I lived in London where I worked for a UK engineering consultancy firm. In Rio de Janeiro, I began teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) to professionals before founding my translation company in 2006. I moved to Lisbon in 2016 where I started to offer online tuition for Maths (in English) and continue to translate business and legal documents between English and Portuguese for clients in Brazil and Portugal. Despite living in Lisbon, I keep up to date with the UK curriculums and hope that my enthusiasm for the subjects rubs off on my pupils.

Having always enjoyed Maths, which was the favourite part of my degree in Engineering (Electrical and Information Science) from Cambridge University, I obtained top grades at A- and S-levels in both Maths and Physics, as well as A-level Further Maths (grade 1 at S-Level is equivalent to or better than an A* at A-Level). I can give you the confidence to improve your grade at Maths, whether Key Stage 2, ISEB 11+ and 13+, or GCSE in the UK or the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, using past and mock examination papers as a tool to practise exam technique as well as to assess and enhance subject understanding
