About George
My name is George, I am 20 years old and I have been passionate about chess from an early age. I started playing chess at the age of 5, and around the age of 10 I became seriously interested in the game and began studying it in depth, as well as participating in tournaments.
Over the years, I have continuously worked on improving my skills and understanding of chess. In 2023, I achieved my highest online rating of 2230 on Lichess. This milestone motivated me to start sharing my knowledge and help others understand chess more clearly and confidently.
I enjoy explaining complex ideas in a simple and structured way and helping students develop strong foundations and better thinking habits at the board.

My approach to tutoring
I focus on helping students understand chess ideas, not just memorise moves. My lessons are structured, clear and adapted to each student’s level. We work on developing good thinking habits: evaluating positions, finding candidate moves and avoiding common mistakes.
Teaching method
Lessons usually include:
short explanation of a concept
practical examples from real games
interactive exercises and discussion
analysis of the student’s games when available
I explain everything step by step and encourage students to ask questions at any time.
Lesson format and length
Lessons are online and typically last 60 minutes. Shorter lessons (30–45 minutes) are also possible for younger students or beginners.
