About Marek
My journey with chess started when I was introduced to this game as a 6-year old boy. I enjoyed playing chess so much that I started working as a chess teacher. I have taught chess lessons for over 16 years now. During that time, I have gained a tremendous amount of experience by training children in schools and in chess clubs across Slovakia and in Prague and Berlin.
My current FIDE number is 1836. In September 2019, I acquired the school chess patent from the German Chess Youth. I am providing chess training in German, English, Czech and Slovak languages.

Beginners get to know the chess pieces, their gait and their value. I typically play an initial game with children who know how to set the chess pieces so that I can assess their skill and thus individually tailor the online training to their skill level. Getting to know the chess pieces, learning the rules, solving tactical tasks and developing a game plan promotes concentration and endurance. Further lessons include playing and evaluating chess games.
Online one-to-one lessons - your own chess board is required (Skype or Zoom).
