About Michael
I am a UC Berkeley grad with BA in Bio who has taught a variety of subjects in biological sciences for 5 years, including AP Bio, IB Bio, general bio, physiology, and anatomy. I've had continuing education at SUNY College of Optometry, where I excelled in the bioscience, neuro, and pathology courses, and my goal is to become an instructor of biological sciences. I have brought students from D's to A's. Starting in CA, when I became a tutor at a community college, I learned students liked my style of tutoring, so I decided to continue doing so while I was pursuing higher education.

I give lessons to students from high school through college. On a case-by-case basis, I may help graduate or medical students as well. I'll ask for your course syllabus/schedule of topics. I cater well to visual aural learners, as my approach involves drawing out diagrams, breaking down concepts into smaller steps in flow charts, organizing information into charts, and challenging you with questions to test understanding, all using the screen share feature of my tablet PC.

Michael is a great teacher! He uses techniques where you are able to recall what he has taught and use it all along the way, He's calm and patient. Another student I know went from getting an F in physiology to getting an A!
I definitely recommend him.Mike is a great physiology/biology/science tutor. He is able to take your notes and issues that you may be struggling in and create a comprehensible learning document and live tutoring session. He is passionate, compassionate and can adjust to your learning speed. He is a patient and knowledgeable tutor. My rate is $40/hour. That indicates my confidence in the subject. There is a fee for not showing up without contacting me by email or text. Notify me at least one hour ahead of the scheduled lesson if there is a need to cancel. NB: The website did not allow me to untick the free lesson option. I do not offer free lessons.
