I have learnt from Pandit Sanju Sahai ji for well over ten years, having first met him at SOAS. I couldn’t wish for a more inspiring teacher or a more humble example despite his incredible talents- he is one of the greatest tabla players in the world and has a huge wealth of knowledge, experience and understanding- much of it unique to him. He is probably the best communicator that I know and will always pitch lessons according to the needs of the student of which he has a great many from all walks of life.

I have learnt off Pt Sanju Sahai Ji for the past 10 years. Not only is he a world renowned artist but an amazing teacher. His teaching methods are so effective.

He is a great teacher as well as a great tabla player. He taught us not only the skills of tabla but also teaching Indian traditional culture. It is such a valuable experience to learn the perspective of Indian music that is different from Western music. He sincerely preserves the culture passing generation to generation.

Sanju ji has been teaching me tabla since 2017. He is an excellent musician and great teacher. He knows how to recognize different students' needs and adapt his teaching to help them learn! Lessons go by very fast and we cover a lot of material. The lessons are focused and on point, and I always feel comfortable to ask whatever I want as many times as I want until I understand! I wouldn't recommend anyone else for someone who wants to embark on the tabla journey. And last but not least Sanju ji is a very kind and warm person which are very important things for a teacher to have.

Sanjuji has the skill of bringing out the best in his students. My playing has improved greatly since I have been learning from him. He is a master musician and an inspiration. I highly recommend him as a teacher.

I had underestimated my daughter's capability, until we met Sanju ji. He has an exceptional positive teaching method and a scientific approach to utilize the entire mind.
