About Ahmed

As a mixer, I have been mixing music commercially for around 10+ years, mainly in bass music and have been involved in many collaborative projects.

Over the years I have worked in countless different studios and practised a wide variety of different mixing techniques which has put me in a great position to teach!

I have a wealth of experience behind me. I have a masters in sound design and currently doing PhD with a focus on mix translation from one environment to another.

I am as passionate about teaching and sharing my expertise as I am about mixing music. It is deeply rewarding to watch young mixers develop their sound. audio can be a personal thing, it's interesting to listen to how each student applies the knowledge.

My students can expect to walk away with much more than just textbook audio skills. I take great pride in nurturing young producers and helping them find their footing in the industry. I will support and advise them with everything from what equipment to invest in and will continue to mentor them long after their course is finished.

About the lesson

Learning something new can be a daunting idea. Especially with something like audio technology. There is so much to learn! So many amazing audio mixers out there already. “How could I ever shine in such an established industry” Simply, be yourself, you don't have to appeal to everyone, focus on your original ideas.

I offer my tuition in blocks of either 5 or 10 lessons. that way I can put together a structured plan based on your existing skills and tastes etc and make sure you go away with a solid set of new skills.

My courses cover, recording, mixing and mastering. And everything I teach is a direct reflection of my own processes and experiences as a producer. Also if you have specific goals in mind we can design a course around these.

I conduct the lessons via Zoom which works really well. With the added advantage of being able to record the sessions for your reference later. My students find this really beneficial to be able to go back through lessons at their own pace.
