About Larry
Many learners struggle to bridge the gap between classroom vocabulary and the idiomatic expressions used in daily life. Imagine sitting in a cafe in Buenos Aires where you finally understand the banter happening at the table next to you. I use my BMus Popular Music degree to incorporate song and rhythm into our listening practice.
My 13 years of experience mean I know exactly which writing skills are most important for your professional growth. We will examine the cultural context behind every sentence so you know why you are using specific phrases. My goal is to keep things conversational while we work through the complexities of the language.

Adults and professionals often come to me when they want to speak more naturally than a textbook allows. I picture the vibrant streets of Havana whenever I explain the nuance between Latin American and Castilian variants to my students. After 13 years of teaching, I have refined my methods for kids and working professionals who need practical skills. My focus includes essential grammar, vocabulary building, and everyday phrases for beginners.
I also provide targeted help with exam preparation for the DELE. Developing your listening practice is a cornerstone of how I teach language.
