About Amédée

As a university lecturer in the history of architecture, I teach my courses entirely in French on a daily basis and work closely with students from diverse linguistic backgrounds. Over the years, I have developed a strong command of not only the French language itself, but also the pedagogical tools necessary to help learners gain confidence and fluency in academic and everyday communication. My background in teaching at the higher education level means I understand the challenges that students face when adapting to a new academic environment — especially in a second language. I also understand how important language is for building a meaningful, successful experience as a student and future professional in Canada. In this French course, my goal is not only to teach vocabulary and grammar, but to provide you with the practical linguistic and cultural skills that will support your personal, academic, and professional goals. Whether you are preparing to attend university in French, applying for a job, or simply seeking to feel more at home in your new environment, I will guide you with patience, structure, and enthusiasm — so that French becomes not a barrier, but a powerful tool for opportunity.
