  • When did you develop an interest in your subject and in private tutoring?

My love for English grew when I started helping other students in class. I noticed that when I explained concepts in my own words, my classmates understood more easily — and their confidence improved. That’s when I realised how impactful sharing knowledge can be. I discovered that I genuinely enjoy helping others learn and grow, and that I naturally excel at explaining ideas clearly. This experience inspired me to become a private English tutor, where I can make an even bigger difference through personalised, one-on-one support.
  • Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

I teach English language with a strong focus on speaking, writing, grammar in context, sentence structure, reading comprehension, and vocabulary building. I especially enjoy helping students improve communication skills, build meaningful sentences, and express themselves confidently.
My favourite topics are real-life conversations, culture, history, creativity, and everyday situations because they make English practical and enjoyable. I’m less focused on repetitive grammar drills — I prefer interactive lessons where grammar is learned naturally through conversation and examples.
  • Did you have any role models? Perhaps a teacher that inspired you?

Yes, I was inspired by teachers who were patient, encouraging, and approachable. The teachers who made learning enjoyable showed me that students perform better when they feel supported and understood. Their teaching style influenced my own approach as an English tutor — creating a safe, motivating space where students feel confident to try, make mistakes, and improve.
  • What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

A good tutor must be patient, adaptable, supportive, and organised. Every student learns differently, so it’s important to personalise lessons
  • Could you share an anecdote related to your subject or your student days?

One of my favourite moments as a private tutor is seeing students who were once shy begin to speak confidently. I’ve taught students who struggled to form sentences at first, but with guided practice and encouragement, they started expressing themselves clearly and proudly. Seeing that transformation reminds me why I’m passionate about teaching English.
  • Did you face any difficulties at school or university?

Yes, I experienced challenges, especially when it came to confidence and self-expression. These experiences helped me understand what many students go through. As a result, I approach teaching with empathy and patience, always reassuring students that progress takes time and that mistakes are part of learning.
and adjust teaching methods when needed. Clear communication, encouragement, and consistency are key. Most importantly, a good tutor helps students build confidence while improving their academic skill
  • Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general, an element of this particular subject, or something completely different?

My biggest passion is teaching English as a tool for confidence and empowerment. I love helping students improve their speaking and writing skills and watching them become more self-assured communicators. Teaching isn’t just my profession — it’s something I truly enjoy.
  • What makes you a Superprof?

What makes me a Superprof English tutor is my student-centred approach, personalised lessons, and genuine commitment to student progress. I focus on building strong foundations, boosting confidence, and making learning enjoyable. Whether online or in person, I create engaging lessons that help students reach their goals at their own pace.
