About Oliwia

Hi! I’m a friendly, approachable and motivated bilingual student who is fluent in English and Polish and can also speak some Spanish. I achieved Grade 9s in GCSE English Language and Polish, and I really enjoy helping others build their confidence and improve their language skills.

I have experience supporting students through Kumon and my DofE volunteering, where I helped learners across the primary and secondary curriculum. I’m patient and understanding, and I always aim to make learning enjoyable and comfortable.

I’m passionate about helping and supporting others, which is also one of the reasons I aspire to pursue a career in medicine. I enjoy working with people, explaining things clearly and making a positive difference.

Outside of academics, I enjoy swimming, netball and dancing, and I have also taken part in an exchange programme to Japan, which helped me develop my independence and appreciation of different cultures. I’m passionate about languages and working with others, and I would love to help students achieve their goals!

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is friendly, patient and personalised. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, goals and learning style, using a mixture of conversation, questioning, explanations and practical activities to make lessons engaging and effective.

Lessons typically last 45–60 minutes, depending on the student’s needs. I focus on building confidence as well as improving accuracy, giving students plenty of opportunities to practise and ask questions in a supportive environment.

I have experience supporting students through Kumon and DofE volunteering, helping learners develop their confidence and skills across the primary and secondary curriculum. I also achieved Grade 9 in GCSE English Language and Grade 9 in Polish.

My lessons are suitable for anyone willing to learn, preferably up to the age of 35, beginners and advanced and learners looking to improve their English or Polish, with content adapted to each student’s individual ability and goals.
