About Taylor

I have been a tutor for over 3 years now and have taught upwards of 40 students! All students that I have mentored felt more confident in their understanding after receiving my guidance. Most of all, they did exceptionally well on their assignments/quizzes. A couple of my students even moved their grade from a fail to a pass within only a couple of sessions with me! This is the kind of service I plan to give you!

About the lesson

Hello, My name is Taylor and I graduated from UBC in April 2021 with a specialization in biology. I was also temporarily certified with OCT in July 2022 while I complete my B.Ed. program at Ontario Tech University. I have been tutoring public school and high school math students for the past 3 years and I look forward to teaching effective and strategic studying skills to all of my students and helping them to excel in their subjects. I will be hosting my lessons over Zoom using the screen share and whiteboard function. I have a tablet to write on the screen - this makes our lessons very effective! My teaching structure is always different for each student. The reason for this is because I know that everyone learns differently and requires different methods of explanation. I personally feel, and have been told by others, that I am exceptional at listening and allowing others time to explain themselves. I also have unconditional patience and promise to use this when working with my students. My motto: There are NO silly questions and your confidence and understanding are my first priority. My rate is $35/hour - I also offer a free 30 min of just getting to know one another (i.e., who I am and what I can do to help you, your learning style, and things we have in common!). Once I begin tutoring, the lesson will be $35/hour, however, if you are unhappy with my service - it will be free!

I offer a $35/hour rate. I also offer 30 min free so that my student and I can get to know one another. We will talk about what I can offer and how I can help you as well as just getting to know you and your interests! Once we start tutoring, my rate applies, however, if you are unsatisfied with my services, our session is free!
