I was a writer/editor in New York City for 25 years. I am a published author of nonfiction and fiction. I am an award winning high school teacher. I am familiar with many types of writing, such as academic, memoir, and mechanical. I'm a natural-born teacher.

My method is to assess where a student's skills and experience lie. After that, I determine a student's interests so we can focus on subjects he or she likes. The student will write multiple drafts. I act as a caring but firm editor.
