About Anna
Hello and thank you for taking the time to read about me! I am originally from California but migrated to Australia out of high school. I gained my Bachelor of Nursing and Master’s of Advanced Clinical Nursing at University Technology Sydney - Australia’s most prestigious Nursing University. I achieved a WAM of 81 and my GPA was 3.8. I have worked primarily in cardiac medicine including CICU, Coronary Care, and Cardio thoracics, but have also worked in ICU, Infectious diseases, and currently in PACU recovery in Anchorage, Alaska. I gained my CNS and CNE accreditations in 2020 in cardiovascular disease. In 2022 I moved to Alaska and after passing the NCLEX began working in PCU and PACU in Anchorage. During that time, I also published “The Blighted Road” a historical novel about plague, witch-hunts, midwives and life in the 17th century. I love hiking, music, photography and just enjoying Alaskan lifestyle. My strengths are in writing, communication and teaching, and I live in a LGBTQI+ household. I nurture a safe learning environment and would love to work with you through your nursing journey! I gained my education and experience in Australia, but I now work as a PACU RN in Alaska. I have experience in all areas of Cardiac nursing, including CICU, and CCU, but have also worked in general and neurological ICU. I have worked exclusively within the elderly population as well. I take a gentle approach to teaching, with plenty of animations and visuals whenever possible. I tailor the teaching to suit your needs and learning style. I am also a published author so I can assist you with writing all those nursing essays and referencing them correctly! We will pace our lessons at whatever speed you require. I am here to support you wherever you are on your nursing journey!
