Hi, I'm Shruti! Math has always come naturally to me, and I love helping others get there too. I bring hands-on experience tutoring school students, breaking down tricky concepts into simple, easy-to-follow steps — no rushing, no confusion, just real understanding. My approach to teaching is simple: understand how the student thinks, then explain in a way that matches their pace. I don't believe in rushing through the syllabus — I first identify where a student is struggling, then break the concept down into smaller, easier steps until it genuinely clicks, rather than just being memorized.
My teaching method: I use plenty of real-life examples and practice questions to reinforce every new concept. Instead of one-way lecturing, I encourage the student to attempt problems out loud so I can spot exactly where their understanding breaks down and correct it in the moment.
Structure of a class: Each session usually begins with a quick recap of the previous topic, followed by introducing the new concept with examples, guided practice problems, and a short set of questions to solve independently before the session ends. I also note down areas that need more attention for the next class.
What makes me different: I'm patient, consistent, and track each student's progress topic by topic rather than just moving forward regardless of gaps. I also keep parents informed regularly, so they know exactly how their child is progressing.
Who I teach: I'm comfortable working with school-level students (middle school in particular) who need steady, syllabus-based support and confidence-building in core subjects
