About Farihah
# About Me
Hi! I’m a patient and approachable tutor who enjoys helping children build confidence in Mathematics. I believe that every child learns differently, and I take the time to understand where they are struggling before adapting my lessons to suit their needs.
I focus on building strong fundamentals, improving problem-solving skills and helping students develop better learning habits. I’m especially passionate about helping students who may lack confidence in Mathematics or find it difficult to understand word problems.
As a parent myself, I understand that learning should be encouraging and engaging, while still having clear structure and goals. My aim is to create a comfortable environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes and learn at their own pace.
I hope to help each student not only improve their results, but also become a more confident and independent learner.

My Teaching Approach
I believe children learn best when they understand the “why” behind the answer, rather than simply memorizing steps. I use a patient and encouraging approach, adapting each lesson to the student’s pace and learning needs.
My lessons focus on:
* Breaking down difficult concepts into simple steps
* Guided practice followed by independent questions
* Teaching students how to understand and approach word problems
* Encouraging clear working instead of guessing or relying on fingers
* Reviewing mistakes to strengthen understanding
* Building confidence and better exam habits

Level: Primary 1–6 Mathematics
Duration: 1.5–2 hours per lesson
Age: 7–12 years old
Location: Home-based / online
I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions freely, learn from their mistakes and gradually become more confident and independent in Mathematics.

I have experience tutoring primary school students and helping them strengthen their Mathematics fundamentals, problem-solving skills and exam techniques.
