About Joshua
I am a licensed teacher and educational support coach. My hobbies are based on understanding the way in which humans acquire knowledge. I write, read, and study human behavior and information acquisition. When I am not teaching or researching/writing I study geology, astronomy, biology and history. I live in the desert and can be found often studying desert plants and minerals. In addition, I play mandolin and am currently learning German.

I believe that the biggest obstacle to learning isn't a difficult subject—it's fear. My approach tackles the root problem of learning difficulties head-on. I use proven methods to actively reduce fear and anxiety, which is the true core of learning difficulty, while celebrating every small win. My process rewrites the narrative in a student's mind, replacing past discomfort with new, positive memories of accomplishment. My goal is to help students abandon their fears of a "difficult" subject so they can finally see their true potential, and discover the joy of learning.
With proven techniques in Test Training and Mind remapping, I help students change their way of thinking so that they can joyfully learn for life, not just memorize for a test.
