About Bongiwe Betty
Hello, I am Bongiwe, a 3rd year Diploma in Building student at Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth. I am passionate about helping learners understand Technical Drawing and Building Construction because I struggled myself at first and I know how to explain it simply.
I am skilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Cyber Security, and I am good at making learning easy and practical. I am patient, friendly and reliable, and I love seeing my students improve from failing to passing.
I want to teach because I enjoy sharing knowledge and I want to support high school learners and first year students who need extra help after class.

I am a 3rd year Diploma in Building student at Nelson Mandela University. I teach Technical Drawing and Building with a simple, patient and practical method. I explain drawings step-by-step, from basic lines to floor plans, sections and elevations.
I teach in English and Sesotho, and I explain in simple terms. A typical lesson includes: checking what you are struggling with, explaining the theory, then we draw together, and I give you homework to practise.
My lessons are for Grade 10, 11, 12 learners doing EGD/ Technical Drawing, and 1st year Building students at TVET or university who need help with building construction and drawing. I offer online lessons on Zoom, Teams or WhatsApp video, and in-person in Port Elizabeth.
