About Niamh
I’m a 4th-year MSci Biochemistry student at the University of Manchester, currently achieving First-Class level grades. I’m particularly interested in molecular and cell biology of disease and enjoy making complex scientific ideas easier to understand.
Alongside my degree, I’ve gained hands-on research experience through an 8-week internship at the University of Cambridge’s Early Cancer Institute, where I focussed on leukaemia cancer research.
I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I understand how daunting difficult Biology topics can feel. My aim is to help students feel more confident in their knowledge and realise that Biology doesn’t have to be overwhelming!

My lessons are tailored to each student, focusing on the topics they find most challenging. I break down difficult concepts into simple, manageable steps and then use exam questions to put that knowledge into practice.
Lessons are typically 1 hour and can include:
• Explaining difficult topics
• Working through exam questions
• Identifying and correcting mistakes
• Developing exam technique
• Creating effective revision strategies
I aim to make lessons relaxed, encouraging and interactive, so students feel comfortable asking questions and build confidence alongside their Biology knowledge.
Lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level Biology students.
