I am a qualified doctor with a longstanding passion for teaching, having tutored students since my time at university. I have experience teaching a wide range of learners, from primary school through to secondary education, and I continue to teach regularly within hospital settings as part of my medical training and clinical practice.

My teaching approach combines deep scientific understanding with highly targeted exam technique to help students maximise marks in GCSE and A-Level sciences. As a qualified doctor, I bring an advanced understanding of biology, anatomy, and physiology — from cellular processes through to whole-body systems — allowing me to explain complex concepts clearly and in a clinically relevant way.
Lessons are tailored individually to each student using interactive online whiteboarding, enabling me to adapt explanations, diagrams, and exam practice live during the session. At the end of each lesson, students receive a PDF copy of the completed whiteboard to support revision and independent study.
A major focus of my teaching is understanding how exam boards award marks. I train students to decode command words, interpret questions more deeply, and structure answers using mark-scheme-focused techniques and key terminology that examiners look for. Follow-up lessons use active recall and targeted exam questions to strengthen long-term memory, improve confidence, and develop high-scoring exam habits.
