About Cynthia
Singing is part of a five-year tutoring career during which I have taught 205 students, from nervous beginners to more experienced singers developing their own distinctive style. My own musical background includes years of songwriting and informal performance, shaping my strong belief that creativity and technical discipline reinforce each other rather than compete. I am an encouraging, expressive tutor, actively pushing students to explore their own interpretation of a song rather than simply imitating a recording. Many students arrive believing they lack a distinctive voice, and helping them discover their own style through small creative exercises is deeply rewarding.

My singing lessons blend solid vocal technique with genuine creative exploration, encouraging students to experiment with their own phrasing and style alongside structured breathing and pitch exercises. I introduce technical concepts practically, showing students exactly how breath support or resonance improves a song they already love rather than teaching technique in isolation. Practice stays short and focused during lessons, since brief, well targeted work consistently outperforms long repetitive drills. I record short audio clips during lessons so students can hear their own stylistic choices developing over time. Every few weeks I dedicate a session purely to informal performance, helping students build genuine confidence.
