About Claire
Hi! I am an undergraduate student at Barnard College, Columbia University studying Neuroscience on the pre-health track. My curiosity and love of learning have led me to continue learning each day as a STEM student and undergraduate researcher. I enjoy working with others, so I truly find tutoring exciting and fulfilling. I have over 3 years of tutoring experience, and I work to instill a love of learning in each student I work with. I enjoy helping students overcome obstacles and learn to work through difficult problems, so I am dedicated to creating a supportive environment as a tutor.

I believe in interactive learning, so I typically structure my lessons around practice problems. Instead of rote memorization, I help students understand the essence of the material, while also providing tricks to help students remember important details. I work to provide a supportive space to facilitate learning, and I encourage mistakes and trial and error. Using my extensive background in neuroscience and the neural mechanisms of learning, I implement the latest science-based learning methods. I am very flexible and able to adapt my lessons based on the needs of each student. Lessons available for students of all levels and will provide practice tests, timing tips, and test-taking skills.
