About Towa
Hi! I'm currently a 3rd Year Neuroscience/Biomedical Undergraduate at Balliol College, University of Oxford with a Nettleship Scholarship. Previously Scholar at Westminster School & Royal Academy of Music (Junior Department)., with senior awards in Biology & Mathematics. Multiple Gold medals in the UKMT Chalenges (Intermediate/Senior) since Year 7 & Merits in the British Mathematical Olympiad.
Currently, I am a Student Investigator at the Department of Physiology, Anatomy of Genetics (Oxford University - Auditory Neuroscience), with Specialist Interests in Auditory Neuroscience & Brain-Computer Interfaces/Neural Codes.
I am very happy to support students in Maths, Chemistry, and Biology GCSE or A-level preparation. Additionally, I have 3 years experience in successful medical & UCAS application support & multiple years experience as a mentor & tutor in Music Performance & Mathematics. I am most passionate about inspiring students into realising their passions & academic strengths & this is fundamentally achieved through integrative teaching that expands beyond the mere textbook.
Outside the Med School, I am the College Medical Society & Music Society Student President & Student Vice-President of Balliol College. I am also Principal of the University Flagship Music Ensemble, Oxford University Orchestra, where I continue to enjoy my music-making with the top non-conservatoire instrumentalists in the UK.
