My approach to tutoring
I take a personalised and immersive approach to language learning, adapting my lessons to each student’s interests, abilities, learning style and individual goals. I use a combination of conversation, creative activities, structured exercises and real-world Italian to help students develop confidence and engage with the language naturally.
Rather than relying solely on textbooks, I create and adapt learning materials around the individual student. This can include topics they are particularly interested in, Italian media, games, conversations and practical situations, while ensuring that lessons remain focused on the skills and knowledge required for their GCSE or A-Level.
I have extensive experience working on a one-to-one basis and adapting my approach to different individuals and their needs. As a fluent Italian speaker with an academic background and experience in structured, personalised one-to-one support, I bring a patient, flexible and creative approach to tutoring.
Lessons are typically **1–2 hours per week**, depending on the student's age, level, attention span and goals. I also provide appropriate homework and independent activities between sessions, allowing students to consolidate what we have covered and make steady progress.
I offer lessons primarily for **GCSE and A-Level students**, as well as students who would like to improve their Italian more generally. My aim is not only to help students prepare successfully for their exams, but also to develop genuine confidence and enjoyment in using Italian.
