About Neil

I graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Economics and currently work as a credit analyst in commercial banking.

I’ve studied economics, finance, accounting, and business both in the classroom and through real-world experience. Having recently been a college student myself, I understand how frustrating it can be when a professor makes a simple concept feel unnecessarily complicated!

I’m patient, approachable, and always happy to explain something more than once or in a completely different way. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where you can ask questions freely, build confidence, and genuinely understand the material.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Neil! I’m a UCLA Economics graduate currently working in commercial banking.

My tutoring style is simple: understand it, don’t just memorize it. I break complicated topics down into plain English, use real-world examples, and work through problems step by step.

A typical session looks like:

Figure out what you’re stuck on
Break the concept down simply
Work through a few problems together
Let you try it yourself
Review until it actually clicks!

I tutor Economics, Finance, Accounting, and Business, primarily for high school and college students.

What sets me apart? I’ve studied these subjects at UCLA and now use many of them in the real world working in banking. I also remember what it’s like to be a student staring at a problem and thinking, “What does this even mean?”

Whether you need help catching up, preparing for an exam, or just want someone to make the material finally make sense, I’m happy to help!
