I, know I’ll fight to help you make your dreams come true. You haven’t met me yet, but I will always be on your side. Even when it seems like no one else is (because it will be seem that way sometimes!)—during those times where it feels like you can’t count on your parents, siblings or friends—simply turn around, and I will be by your side. We haven’t met yet, but I know what you’re going through. I understand the disappointment and dejection you feel when adults discourage you, or when other kids make you feel terrible for just being different. I get the pressure to be the best person you can be, but at the same time, being your own person and discovering how you want to make your mark on the world. We haven’t met yet, but [pullquote position="right"]I know what it’s like to have a teacher who makes you feel like nothing you do is good enough.[/pullquote] And it hurts, and it’s a terrible thing to go through. But I also know what it feels like to have your life changed by a teacher who encourages you and knows you can accomplish anything, because they see your potential.
