Hi, I'm Laylah Liwaru, a biological sciences graduate from the University of Missouri – Kansas City with over three years of university tutoring experience and a background in clinical research at the University of Kansas. I tutored Biology 1 and related coursework for the UMKC Biology Department from 2021 to 2024, working with both large and small groups in person and online — facilitating discussions, grading assignments, proctoring exams, and creating study materials tailored to different learning styles. Before that, I worked as an elementary school teacher, so I know how to break down complex concepts for any level. I bring real-world science experience to every session, having conducted independent research in molecular biology and neurology at Washington University in St. Louis.
