About Dayton
I am a recent graduate of the University of Miami with a BA in Theater Arts and a minor in American Sign Language. My love for the performing arts brought me to ASL, where I have been storytelling and interpreting for years. In high school, I interpreted school assemblies and became the interpreter for my co-worker at my church, who was Deaf. Now, I find much fulfillment in helping others with their ASL classes! As an actor myself, I found ASL to be another medium in which I could express myself fully by creating stories. It is a visual art that is fascinating to study. I am constantly working to learn new signs and want students who have the same drive as me. My experience makes me well-equipped to help you ace your ASL classes :)

I’m excited to be working with you! One of my favorite parts of tutoring is that I get the chance to get to know you as a person. I’m skilled at taking into account different learning styles and helping come up with creative ways for you to remember the signs. After 9 years of ASL classes, I’ve been a student too! So I understand what you’re dealing with and I know how to help.
