About Ali
Hi all! I'm a NYC-based Wardrobe Supervisor for Theatre. I am also a writer and hold a degree in Journalism. I have an abundance of experience with editing and writing essays and articles, creative fiction, literary journalism, helping with college admission essays, and reading comprehension. I was raised in a household of elementary teachers and have been grading classwork and papers from a young age. I have created content for local news sites and would love to help you not only excel at writing, but enjoy it more!

My approach to teaching is one of patience, endurance, and humor. I have had teachers in the past who have pushed me to reach beyond my potential, and unfortunately, experienced a few who were careless or degrading. I understand how frustrating academia can be at times, and I want tutoring to be a positive experience , which involves learning when to push through, or when to take a break. I encourage those I teach to ask a ton of questions, to try new things without the fear of failing - because mistakes are inevitable, and to use their own voices.
