Hello! I'm Ava Sorey, a high school senior eagerly anticipating the adventure of college life. Writing has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and I've pursued it enthusiastically by delving into extra classes like creative writing and college-level English. Poems, short stories, and essays are my playground—I love exploring the endless possibilities within them. I truly believe that writing is an essential skill, accessible and invaluable to everyone, and I'm excited to share my enthusiasm for it as I embark on the next chapter of my journey.

In a typical writing tutoring session for my elementary school students, I start by chatting with the students to understand their current writing abilities and what they want to work on. Then, I kick off with a fun warm-up activity to spark creativity. Next, I teach a specific writing skill, like sentence structure or storytelling, and guide the student through practice exercises. After some independent writing time, I give feedback and encouragement. Finally, I wrap up by summarizing the lesson and discussing how the student can keep improving, all while keeping the atmosphere positive and supportive.
