About Funmilayo
My name is Funmi, and I am a native Yoruba speaker with a strong passion for teaching and helping learners connect with the Yoruba language and culture. I enjoy working with children, beginners, and adults, and I am known for being patient, friendly, and encouraging.
I have experience teaching early years and primary learners, which has helped me develop simple and effective ways to explain new words, sounds, and expressions. I love seeing my learners gain confidence and start using Yoruba language in real conversations.

I am a native Yoruba speaker and a patient, friendly online tutor with a strong background in teaching young learners and beginners.
My lessons are designed for children, beginners, and adults who want to learn Yoruba for communication, school, or cultural connection.
I teach using simple methods such as songs, pictures, stories, repetition, and guided conversation. I tailor each lesson to the learner’s age and level, and I give regular feedback to help them improve confidently. Each lesson is interactive and focused on speaking, listening, and basic reading. A typical lesson lasts 30–60 minutes, depending on the learner’s age and level.
My goal is to help students gain confidence, correct pronunciation, and practical everyday Yoruba in a relaxed and supportive environment.
