About Aloyse

Having been a language student myself for a while, and still passionate about foreign languages, I've had (we've all had) some exceptional teachers and some less exceptional ones. The first ones leave us with fond memories, and as for the second ones, I try to remember them as an example not to follow.
When we learn something new, we come with our strengths and weaknesses. The latter are the result of a complex equation and there is no magic method to overcome all weaknesses.

I have a Master's degree in the teaching of French as a foreign language and have written a thesis on sociolinguistics (what our language says about us). I have taught at the Universidad Autónoma Latinoamericana de Medellín and at the Alliance Française. I offer both French courses from A1 to C1 and conversation courses from A2 level.

About the lesson

It's not easy to give a precise description of a method when the method used is multi-faceted.

I offer individual lessons or lessons in small groups, so the lessons will be prepared and worked on in direct relation to your needs and expectations.

Whether you want to take a few remedial lessons before an exam (DELF, DALF, French exam), whether you want to learn French for a particular reason (for an expatriation, for work or to travel), or whether you want to revise a specific point that you didn't understand in class, no problem we will adapt together to your objectives.

I'd be the most terrible liar if I promised to make you bilingual within a month. On the other hand, I guarantee that you'll have a great time (even discovering the passé composé) and that you'll progress much more quickly than you might imagine.
