About Sorann

Aged 30, Franco-South Korean and having grown up between France and abroad (Europe and Asia), languages, encounters and other cultures are part of my life. With my last experience in teaching French in Alliance Française abroad (2019-2021), I want to teach my native language, share my culture and exchange. With a great sense of listening and empathy, I put my learners at ease to help them progress in a personalized frame.

I graduated in arts and social sciences with a M2 (Arts and Languages, EHESS, Paris) and a double-bachelor in anthropology (University of Nanterre) and in fine arts (UAL, London). I followed regular-basis training from 2019 to 2021 organized and relayed by the French Institute (France Education International, Cavilam Vichy, CUEF de Grenoble, University of France Comté, etc.).

I have been teaching French since 2016 in various structures and countries:

About the lesson

Through exchange, good vibes and professionalism, I offer FLE lessons from complete beginner A0 to advanced C1 for all ages: children, adolescents and adults. The 4 language skills studied are oral and written comprehension, oral and written production in order to progress globally, while discovering French and Francophone culture.

The content of the courses is completely flexible and customizable according to your level, your needs and your goals. The material, the method and the emphasis are defined according to you!

I offer you:

. general French lessons
. conversation lessons
. preparation courses for DELF DAFL TCF exams or other school and university exams
. professional French courses focused on a particular field
. etc

My classes mainly focus on interactive oral communication in order to make the student progress as much as possible in a safe environment. I always use very current materials in order to complete the themes studied during the courses: excerpt from video, podcast, radio program, press articles, novel, etc. I diversify the types of supports and activities as much as possible in order to always stimulate the student and to confront him with new exercises.

Structure of a typical course:

. introduction of the daily lesson / conversation
. correction of homework from the previous lesson and review of acquired knowledge
. study of a theme with vocabulary, accompanied by audio, audiovisual and/or text support & discussion
. study of a concept of grammar
. application of the concept through real life situations
. assessment of the concepts learned

Availability:

I am available from Monday to Friday, and also on weekends on request. Intensive programs are possible.
