About Raquell

Hello! I’m Raquell, a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan, now living in Canada.

I have a background in education and art, and I have experience teaching students in different learning environments. I especially enjoy helping adults who are learning Mandarin for the first time and want to become comfortable using Chinese in real-life situations.

My lessons are friendly, patient, and personalized. Rather than simply following a textbook, I adapt each lesson to your goals, interests, and learning pace.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed around YOU.

For beginners, we can start from the basics — greetings, introducing yourself, numbers, family, food, shopping, daily routines, and other useful topics.

For students who already know some Mandarin, we can focus more on conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading, and natural expressions.

A typical lesson may include:

• A short review of previous material
• New vocabulary and useful expressions
• Guided conversation practice
• Pronunciation correction
• Simple reading or writing practice
• Cultural notes and real-life examples

I can also prepare lessons around your personal interests, such as travel, food, family, hobbies, art, or Taiwanese culture.
