About Sumire
I am a native Japanese speaker currently residing in Fredrikstad. I have a solid academic background from Japan Women's University, where I completed my bachelor's degree. I am currently preparing for further studies in psychology here in Norway, which has given me a deep understanding of both communication and human interaction. I am passionate about the Japanese language and the little nuances that make it so beautiful. Since I am learning Norwegian myself, I understand the challenges of learning a completely new language, and I am very patient with my students. Outside of languages, I am very fond of cooking and baking, especially French pastries and traditional Japanese food. I am also interested in crafts and design. I believe that language and culture are closely connected, so I am happy to share tips on everything from the best ramen recipes to Japanese traditions in my classes.
