About Silvia
I have been teaching Italian for more than 20 years to students aged 14 and up, including adults and professionals. I have a teaching qualification (Professional Graduate Certificate of Education) from the University of Sunderland and a Certification for teaching Italian as a Second Language from the University of Perugia. My experience ranges from teaching classes in International Schools to 1-1 tutoring. I love teaching and I believe amongst my strengths are my commitment and genuine friendliness, leading to positive professional rapport with my students.

Hello and welcome!
My name is Silvia and I am a passionate Italian teacher with almost 20 years of experience in teaching and tutoring, both in person and online. I love accompanying students on their learning journey with an encouraging, patient and well-structured approach. In my free time I dedicate myself to mindfulness and cycling, activities that help me bring calm, concentration and positive energy to my lessons. Depending on your goals, my lessons can vary from conversation to highly structured classes, covering grammar, reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. I am proficient to teach all levels, from absolute beginner to advanced, with the ability to teach courses leading to formal examinations (e.g., CILS, PLIDA, CELI) according to the European language framework.
