About Carmen

I am an International Relations student with a passion for languages, cultures, travel, and people. I speak Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, and Catalan. I'm eager to share my love for languages with students and help them achieve their goals, whether they're learning Spanish for fun, travel, or professional purposes. I've been tutoring for the past three years and have taught students across all age ranges.

About the lesson

I try to make my lessons as fun and interesting as possible, focusing not only on the language but also on the cultural background, exploring Spanish and South American culture. However, I adapt my classes to meet the needs and interests of my students. Given that I'm fluent in five languages, I have extensive experience in learning. I understand how exhausting it can be to study grammar or vocabulary, so I prefer to teach through texts, videos, songs, or even poems. I also offer conversational classes for students who are already fluent and are interested in such sessions.

I upload the materials from each lesson to Google Classroom, allowing you to access them later, track your progress over time, or submit your own essays and exercises.

Perfect! Carmen is a wonderful tutor! She is patient and flexible according to your learning needs. I really appreciated her teaching methods. She teaches you both conversational/ colloquial Spanish and formal Spanish so that you sound more natural and fluent. She doesn’t give up if you cannot understand a concept. She makes sure to work out the problems. I am very happy with my experience. It has been incredibly beneficial to be able to discuss Spanish in context with culture, history and academia, etc. Carmen is friendly, funny, vibrant and very personable.
