About Raisa

Hello, I’m Raisa. I’m a qualified and experienced teacher with a background in both high school and college-level education, and I’m currently pursuing a PhD. My academic journey has equipped me with strong analytical and writing skills, which I bring into every lesson to help students express themselves clearly and think critically. Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of learners, from teenagers preparing for exams to adults returning to education after a long break. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching style to match individual needs, goals, and learning preferences. My focus is always on building confidence, developing skills, and creating a supportive environment where students feel empowered to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. Whether you're brushing up on academic writing, preparing for tests, or tackling a subject you’ve always struggled with, I’m here to guide you with patience and professionalism. I believe that learning should feel meaningful and achievable at any stage of life, and I’m passionate about helping my students get there. Raisa

About the lesson

As a tutor, I believe learning should be empowering, enjoyable, and tailored to each individual. My approach focuses on adapting to the learner’s pace, background, and goals, whether they’re returning to study after years away or looking to strengthen specific skills. I aim to make every lesson feel accessible, encouraging, and relevant to real-life applications.

Teaching Method and Techniques

I use a flexible, student-centered teaching style. My methods include clear, step-by-step explanations, real-world examples, visual aids, and interactive practice. I believe in learning by doing—encouraging students to ask questions, solve problems actively, and reflect on their progress. For adult learners especially, I emphasize practical use and confidence-building, acknowledging their existing knowledge and experiences.

A Typical Lesson Plan

A typical lesson begins with a short review to reinforce what we’ve covered previously. I then introduce the day’s topic using relatable examples or analogies, followed by guided practice where we work through problems or activities together. The second half of the session usually involves independent tasks, feedback, and tips for applying the knowledge outside the lesson. I always close with a recap and space for any questions or reflections.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor

What sets me apart is my patience, adaptability, and strong communication. I understand that every learner, especially adults, comes with different motivations, challenges, and strengths. I take time to listen, encourage, and adjust each lesson accordingly. I’m not just focused on delivering content—I’m committed to helping students build confidence, independence, and a deeper understanding of what they're learning.

Who the Lessons Are For

My lessons are open to learners of all levels—from beginners to advanced students—but I specialize in supporting adult learners. Whether you’re learning something new for personal growth, improving skills for work, preparing for exams, or picking up where you left off years ago, I’m here to support you at every step of your learning journey.
