About Tania

¡Hola or also bonjour! My name is Tania, and I am a professional French teacher now calling New Zealand home. Languages are more than just a subject to me - they are my life. As a native Spanish and Catalan speaker, I understand the 'inside secrets' of the language that textbooks often miss, and my professional training in French allows me to break down complex grammar into simple, manageable steps.

Having moved to Aotearoa, I know exactly what it feels like to learn and adapt to a new language and culture. This empathy drives my passion for teaching; I want to help Maori and Kiwis bridge the gap between being a student and being a confident speaker. I am patient, enthusiastic, and dedicated to helping you reach that 'lightbulb moment' where everything clicks.

About the lesson

I offer personalized lessons tailored to your specific goals, whether you want to master French with a professional educator or dive into Spanish with a native speaker. My methodology focuses on active communication - getting you speaking from day one - while grounding our lessons in essential grammar and cultural context.

Typically, my lessons run for 60 minutes, but I can adjust the length to suit your schedule. With a background as a professional French teacher and the natural fluency of a native Spanish speaker, I bring a unique, bilingual perspective to my students. I welcome learners of all ages and levels, from beginners looking for travel basics to students preparing for NCEA or official language exams. Let's make language learning an enjoyable part of your journey in New Zealand!
