About Lisset
Hello! My name is Lisset. I am a fourth-year student of international relations at Middle Tennessee State University. I have experience teaching English to recently immigrated children at my church; therefore, I am confident that I am able to help teach students learn Spanish. As a student, I have used Spanish for many projects in my classes along with customers at my job at Starbucks. With 20 countries and Puerto Rico whose official language is Spanish, this language is a powerful tool that helps to connect with so many people globally and opens the door for so many opportunities in the future for students!

I am a first generation Mexican-American. I grew up utilizing conversational Spanish, so I am familiar with a variety of dialects. In any case, I am confident that I will be able to help any student learn Spanish. My approach is to get to know the student first. I want to ensure I understand their unique learning style. From there, I will be able to formulate a plan to help reach the student’s goal. My specialization is with younger students (elementary - high school) , but I am able to help any student who is in an elementary Spanish class at the university level.
