About Yanna

My name is Yanna, and language has always been an important part of my life. Growing up surrounded by Russian language and culture gave me a deep appreciation for how powerful language can be in connecting people, ideas and cultures. Over the years, I have developed a passion for helping others discover the beauty and logic of the Russian language.

I enjoy teaching because I know how challenging learning a new language can feel at the beginning. My goal is always to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, practising and gradually building confidence. Seeing students progress from their first words to holding real conversations is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.

I focus on making lessons clear, structured and engaging. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach depending on whether someone prefers conversational practice, structured grammar explanations or practical exercises that reinforce new vocabulary.

Whether you are learning Russian for travel, personal interest, academic study or professional reasons, I aim to make the process enjoyable and effective. With patience, consistency and the right guidance, anyone can learn a new language, and I am always excited to support students on that journey.

About the lesson

My name is Yanna and I offer structured and engaging Russian language lessons tailored to each student’s goals and learning style.

My teaching approach focuses on building strong foundations in grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and conversation. I combine practical speaking exercises with clear explanations of the language so that students can confidently use Russian in real situations. I believe that learning a language should be interactive and enjoyable, so my lessons include dialogue practice, listening activities and reading exercises that gradually develop fluency.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if needed. Lessons are structured but flexible, allowing us to focus on the areas where the student needs the most support, whether that is conversation practice, grammar, pronunciation or exam preparation.

My lessons are suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced learners, including students who want to learn Russian for travel, personal interest, academic study or professional purposes. I also work with younger learners and adults who are starting from zero and want a clear and supportive introduction to the language.

My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident practising the language and making progress at their own pace.
