About Blazej

Cześć! I am a native Polish speaker and have been living in the UK for the past 20 years. Because I speak Polish constantly with my family and regularly stay connected to life in Poland, I have kept my native fluency sharp alongside my everyday British English.
Having lived in both cultures for so long, I am in a great position to bridge the gap between the two languages. I know how frustrating it can be when a tutor can't explain why something works a certain way in plain English—with me, you get the authentic pronunciation and natural phrasing of a native Polish speaker, combined with clear, easy-to-understand explanations in fluent English.
I am a patient, friendly, and supportive person who genuinely enjoys helping others learn. Making mistakes is the fastest way to learn a language, so my lessons are always a welcoming space where we can have a good laugh and celebrate your progress at your own pace. I look forward to helping you start your Polish journey

About the lesson

Learning a language with a reputation for tricky pronunciation and grammar like Polish can feel daunting at first, so my main goal is to make our lessons relaxed, practical, and completely stress-free!

Because I am completely bilingual in both Polish and English, I know the exact stumbling blocks English speakers face when picking up Polish. I don't believe in boring, rigid textbook drills—instead, I tailor every lesson around your specific goals. Whether you are learning to chat with a Polish partner or their family, preparing for a trip to Poland, reconnecting with your roots, or just taking on a fun new challenge, we will focus on what actually matters to you.

What to expect in our lessons:
Real-Life Conversation: From day one, we will focus on natural, everyday Polish—how people actually speak, rather than overly formal textbook phrases.
Pronunciation Made Simple: We will break down those intimidating Polish sounds (sz, cz, ź, ą, ę) using easy-to-follow English comparisons so you can speak with confidence.
Bite-Sized Grammar: Instead of overwhelming you with tables of cases, I explain grammar naturally as it comes up in conversation so it actually sticks.
Cultural Insights: Language is all about culture! I love sharing insights into Polish traditions, food, humour, and everyday etiquette.

Before our first proper session, we will have a quick chat about your current level, why you want to learn, and how you learn best, so I can build a custom plan just for you.
