About AMAL
Salam! I'm Amal, a linguist and language teacher from Morocco. Moroccan Darija, Arabic and Tamazight are my native languages, and I also speak English (C1) and French (B1).
I hold a BA in English Studies (Linguistics) from Ibn Zohr University in Agadir and a 120-hour Advanced TEFL certificate. Since 2021 I have taught Arabic, Darija and English online to students all over the world, and I also teach on Preply.
I'm patient, organized and friendly, and I love helping students go from shy first words to real conversations. I prepare every lesson in advance and adapt it to your pace, interests and learning style. Language is also about culture, so you'll learn Moroccan expressions, customs and everyday life along the way.

Who the lessons are for:
- Complete beginners to advanced learners, adults and young learners
- Moroccan Darija (spoken everyday Moroccan Arabic) and Modern Standard Arabic
How a typical lesson works:
1. A short warm-up conversation to review what you learned last time
2. New vocabulary and expressions in real-life situations (shopping, family, work, travel)
3. Clear explanations of grammar and pronunciation, with simple examples
4. Lots of speaking practice in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere
5. A short summary and optional homework
What sets me apart:
- Native speaker of Darija, Arabic and Tamazight, with a BA in English Studies (Linguistics), so I understand how languages work and can explain the "why", not just the "what"
- I teach in English or French, so you always understand the explanations
