About Kyla
Hello! I'm a native Mandarin Chinese speaker who has lived in Canada for many years and currently work in finance. Growing up with Chinese as my first language while building a career in Canada has given me a strong appreciation for both cultures and perspectives.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active at the gym, dancing, exploring new restaurants, and experiencing different cuisines. These interests allow me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and bring real-life topics and cultural insights into conversations.
I am friendly, patient, and love meeting new people. Whether you're learning Chinese to communicate with family, travel with confidence, explore Chinese culture, or simply challenge yourself with a new language, I look forward to helping you on your learning journey.

I offer personalized lessons for beginners, intermediate learners, students, and adults. Whether your goal is conversational Chinese, improving pronunciation, learning to read and write, preparing for travel, or gaining confidence communicating with family and friends, lessons will be tailored to your specific needs and learning style.
My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and interactive. I focus on practical vocabulary, everyday conversations, and cultural understanding to make learning enjoyable and effective. As someone who uses both English and Chinese regularly, I can clearly explain concepts and help students progress at a comfortable pace while building confidence in their language skills.
