About Alyssa
Hi everyone, my name is Alyssa! 大家好，我叫Alyssa!
I've lived in Shenzhen for 10 years and moved to the U.S. to further my education. I've very proud of my knowledge and I'm excited to share and teach what I know to you all!
I aim to become a patient and supportive teacher that creates a learning environment where students can feel comfortable reaching out for help without fear of judgement.
Right now, I am only accepting students in grade levels k-12 for personal safety reasons and sorry for the inconvenience.

I've volunteered at Santa Clara County Library over the summer as a teacher assistant for a beginner Chinese class. I also passed the AP Chinese test with a 5 in my freshman year and have great flexibility in my teaching methods to adjust to my student's needs.
My lessons generally requires my students to prepare their own material or questions that they need help with and send them to me before class so I can prepare beforehand. Students can also reach out to me outside of class time with questions and I'll try my best to respond in a timely manner.
