About Cisely
I’m Cisely. I’m curious, thoughtful, and a little playful, and I love exploring people, ideas, and culture. Teaching excites me because it’s a way to share what I care about—language, stories, and ways of thinking—while learning alongside my students. I create classes that are interactive, lively, and full of discovery, where students don’t just memorize, they experience and reflect. Outside of class, I dance, play sports, and constantly seek new perspectives on the world. For me, teaching is about sparking curiosity, building confidence, and making learning something students genuinely enjoy and remember.

Mandarin
I’m Cisely, a native Mandarin speaker and U.S.-based university student with extensive experience in humanities research, creative projects, and volunteer teaching. I design lessons to be highly interactive and engaging, blending language skills with cultural and conceptual exploration. For Mandarin, I teach listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while integrating Chinese culture and everyday communication. For humanities topics like sociology, philosophy, and anthropology, I provide English-based introductions that encourage critical thinking, discussion, and reflection.
I create all my lesson materials, often including interactive activities, real-life scenarios, and projects to make learning immersive. Lessons are typically 40–90 minutes, tailored to the student’s level and goals. With over three years of online volunteer teaching and 100+ hours of tutoring, my classes are suitable for beginners to intermediate learners of Mandarin and for students curious about humanities concepts.
